Executive Search (Headhunted Posts)
Executive Search or Headhunting is a method of sourcing candidates which we use when the target group of candidates is very tightly defined and/or when there is particular sensitivity in releasing the identity of the client.
Should we approach you for a headhunted assignment this is what you can expect to happen.
- We always operate with the utmost discretion in approaching possible candidates and our call to you will follow a considerable amount of research. During our initial approach we will quickly ascertain whether it is a suitable moment to have a discussion with you or find an alternative time. We can be completely flexible and call at a time to suit you.
- We will explain the post, establish your suitability and interest and, if appropriate, provide you with briefing documents. We will probably need your CV at this stage.
- We will arrange to meet with you for interview if appropriate.
- During the interview we "screen" our candidates against specific criteria agreed with the client. We will also assess the chemistry between you and the client, particularly in terms of management style and cultural fit. Candidates frequently ask for feedback at this stage as to their performance during the interview and often for an objective assessment of their CV. It may be appropriate to continue the discussion with a candidate outside of the recruitment process for the specific post. We take a pleasure in providing you with constructive feedback as part of our commitment to contributing towards your personal development.
- Short list interviews for selected candidates are set up with the client and feedback is provided as soon as it is available. Where candidates have not been successful we provide as much constructive feedback as possible.
- We then interface between the selected candidate and client with regards to the package and start dates to reach a mutually agreeable position. Finally, we keep in touch with the candidate during the six months of their appointment, as an external objective party. We have found that new appointees value this facility.
